I set up Made by Marketing in 2011 when I could no longer resist the call of doing my own thing. For over 22 years I have helped clients to grow their organisations by communicating more effectively with their visitors/customers, industry, media and community stakeholders. My focus is on arts and culture, museums and heritage, destination marketing and tourism as well as community consultation.
Prior to going it alone, I worked as marketing director for South Bank Employers’ Group, where I was responsible for promoting London’s South Bank as a destination, managing the consultation process for large-scale regeneration projects and facilitating better community engagement. As such, I have extensive experience of building and managing partnerships/consortia.
My previous working life included a number of years working for a top PR agency, as well as heady times promoting a web agency during the dot com boom.
Over the years I have built a fantastic network of associates, from designers and printers through to other marketing specialists, which enables me to offer a full-service capability, as required.
I am a member of the Arts Marketing Association and of the Association of Independent Museums.
